Where Do Your Ideas Fall?

Where do your ideas fall?
Do they spill onto a page,
Unorganized and un-arranged,
And splatter like water against the ground?
Do they drip from your mouth,
And float all around,
Falling into space?
Do you lock away your ideas,
Way up in your head,
Never letting the escape once again?
Where do your ideas fall?
Do they fall on inattentive ears,
Or are there those begging to hear,
Those hidden,
Brilliant,
Insightful ideas?
Where do your ideas fall?
Do they fall onto pages never looked at again?
Or do they fall into plots,
Plots that go twisting and bend?
Do they fall like raindrops,
Ever-moving, overflowing,
From a cloud of inspiration?
Are your ideas like brilliant lightbulbs,
That continually blink on and off?
When your ideas begin,
To take up all the space up there,
Do you let them stay?
Or when your have those magnificent ideas,
Do they simply....
Drift away?
Where do your ideas fall?

As always, thanks for reading you guys!
Your ideas can always fall into the....

The Door

It's been awhile, hasn't it? But then again, when have my posts ever been anywhere near close together? :)
Thought I'd start back up with a poem...

The Door is unlocked.
It's ready; it's waiting.
It's aged brass doorknob is still, silent, waiting.
Waiting for you to take a hold of it,
Fling open the gold-rimmed Door,
Step into the unknown.
Leap out before you even think about turning back.
Leap out before doubts begin to find you.
Leap out and face everything you don't want to face.

It's shadowed in there.
All the Doors are closed.
Unlocked, but closed.
Closed until somehow
Someday
Somebody
Takes a hold of them,
Takes a chance,
Takes a risk,
Takes a moment to imagine.
Imagine, would you,
What secrets are waiting out there?
What discoveries are expecting you,
To find them unexpected?

Some Doors are shining round the edges.
The Light just can't wait to,
Reach for you.
Let Light become your reality.
The Ultimate Reality.
Let boldness take you by the hand...
Sweep you away from everything.
Sweep you away from time's grasp.
From doubt's trap.
Sweep you from the world of disbelief.
Reach for the Door.
Let the Light eclipse you,
Let it be the Light that sweeps you away.

The Door is unlocked.
It's ready, it's waiting.
What lies behind it?
All you have to do is open it
And never look back.
Go ahead,
Leap.

Gotta love first drafts :)
Sometimes, I find my best inspiration just sitting here alone and staring at the computer screen.
And then other days.....I hate computer screens, but that's a different story for a different day.
So, yeah... I'll try to post some more from now on!

Thanks for reading!

Society is, but what are we...?

Society may have its own set of rules. What to do, what to say, what to wear, who to hang out with, how to act, what to look like, who to compare yourself to. Society may tell us everything we are is wrong. Society may say we are not perfect.
Guess what? We're not.
No one is perfect. Not a single person.
We were made with imperfections for a reason. God didn't make perfect people, He made flawed people, to show us the only perfect person who ever was is Jesus.
We make mistakes.
We learn from our mistakes.
We fall apart.
God pulls us together again.
I am one of a kind.
I was designed to be only one thing. One genuine, uniquely imperfect thing. I am Me. I was made to be Me, and changing Me is unthinkable, impossible. If God designed Me, then why should I try to change that?
We are perfectly imperfect.
Society is, but we are not.

The End

.....and they lived happily, ever after....

Too bad it isn't NEARLY as simple as that. If I could write those few words, my life would be so much easier. But I guess that's the point. That ending is an easy ending, a simple ending. What I'm looking for is something a little more exciting...
Why is it that endings are so much more difficult than beginnings, than middles, than ideas? I've been working on the ending of my almost three year project for over six months now....isn't that crazy? It so hard to tie up every string, to fix every plot, to heal everything broken within the novel....but then again, maybe sometimes its more interesting to leave some things unsaid.
Sometimes its hard to end something because you don't want to let it go. Like with people. It's so hard to let someone go, especially if their are things unsaid. Sometimes, when something ends, its hard to imagine something ever beginning again.
In books, the end is what I look forward to when reading. I want to know what happens to my favorite character, I want to know if the good guys prevail and the villains fail...but when writing, its a different story...(ha ha, no pun intended)
While I struggle and toil behind my desk, working on the perfect ending to my little trilogy, I hope I can accomplish everything and leave just enough unsaid to make anyone who reads it angry with me....because that's always fun :)

.....and I didn't look back. Because this was my home now, because this was where I belonged....

A Melody...

What is it about music that is so striking? How does it have the power to make us cry or laugh, to dance and sing? A simple song can take us back in time to when we first heard it, who we were with, what we were doing....And how? What is it about songs like Don't Stop Believing that makes everyone want to get up dance? What is it, that when your on a bus full of friends, that makes you want to scream along to Break Even or LoveSong? Music, in my opinion, is right up there on the list of Awesome Stuff, including chocolate and summertime :)
So, naturally of course, for my quotes, I think I'll put down some song lyrics....
"All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you," -Taylor Swift
"Head under water and they tell, To breathe easy for I while, The breathing gets harder, Even I know That." -Sara Bareilles
"Wake up on your own
And look around you cause you’re not alone
Release your high hopes and they’ll survive
Cause this is the future and you are alive." -Owl City
And many many other wonderful songs :)

Brain Video Recorder? how handy....

My eyes flutter open each morning, and I get that feeling that I've just woken from a very exciting dream...or sad, or at the very least interesting....and they are always brilliant ideas that I dream up...and lo and behold-ten minutes later most of the dream has simply slipped my memory and there's no way to get it back.
Don't you hate that? Sometimes, your dreams could very well be the perfect movie! (give or take a few strange scenes where maybe a person starts speaking another language or something :P) Yet, no matter what, there's no way to transfer that dream onto paper, or replicate it...
It's the same when you've got a million bajillion thoughts jumbled up in your head and you can't seem to sort them. It's like your brain is a library with no catalogue system, and you can't ever seem to find anything once it's put in there! It drives me crazy....
Which is why I am officially going to invent a Video Recorder for my brain....:)
